From the Principal

Dear Students and Guardians,

As we approach the Spring break it is a perfect time to reflect on the first half of the spring term. We have continued our push for staff to be ever more present in the school, particularly in the corridors and stairwells. This has proven to be a great success and we are pleased to report an even calmer school. As we further build our relationships with our students and interact with them even more, the positive feeling spreads and students are kinder and more respectful of one another. The weather did start to improve and students were also finally taking advantage of our fantastic school yard. It is so nice to see them letting off steam, playing football or basketball or simply being outdoors. But as I am writing this, we have yet even more snow! Come on Spring!

The national tests are taking up much of year 9's focus, and so far they have done Swedish, and Science will take place this Thursday, as well as after the break.

We are looking forward to our Spring Bazaar, which will take place on May 17th. This we hope will be our biggest and best bazaar ever. We have lots of exciting activities planned - watch this space!  After that, there will be less than 4 weeks until our students can rest after a long, hard-working term. There is never a dull moment at IES Johanneberg and time flies.

Can I take this chance to also thank parents for filling in the schoolsoft survey?  If you haven't done so yet, please take 5 minutes to fill this in. We really appreciate your input.

Regards,

AnnChristin Rothstein
